Privacy.
This site asks for very little, and I keep it that way. Here is what I collect, who else handles it, and how to have it deleted.
What the form collects
The request form is for parents. It asks for:
- About you
- Your name and email, and a mobile number if you give one.
- About your child
- Age, subject, online or in person, and a ZIP code for lessons at home. Not your child’s name.
- Your note
- Anything you choose to write. It may mention your child, so write only what you are happy for me to read.
- Also sent
- Your time zone, and which button brought you to the form.
I use these details to reply to you, to arrange the first call and to teach. I do not sell them, share them for marketing or add you to a mailing list.
Who else handles it
A few services do the work a one-person practice cannot. Each gets only what it needs, and each has its own privacy policy.
- Form
- Formspree receives the request form and sends it to my email.
- Booking
- Cal.com holds the booking for the free first call: your name and email, the time, and your child’s first name. No payment is taken at booking.
- Payment
- Stripe takes card payments and sends receipts. I never see your full card number.
- Lessons
- Online lessons run on Zoom. They are not recorded unless you ask.
- Messages you send me stay in my email account.
What this site does not do
- Analytics
- None. No tracking pixels and no advertising.
- Cookies
- None. Nothing is stored in your browser.
- Fonts
- Served from this site, so nothing goes to Google or any other font service.
- Practice problems
- The two practice problems on this site run entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent or saved, so your child can try them freely.
- Server logs
- Like any website, the server that hosts this one may keep standard logs: IP address, browser and the page requested.
Children
Lessons are for children aged 4 to 18. This site collects nothing from them. The form is for a parent or guardian. If you are under 18, ask a parent to write to me.
I keep short notes on each lesson, so each lesson builds on the last. They are shared only with you. Results on my practice platform are visible only to you and to me.
How long I keep it
- Requests
- If a request does not lead to lessons, I delete it within 12 months.
- Families
- While lessons continue, and for 12 months after the last one.
- Payments
- Payment records are kept as long as tax rules require.
Seeing or deleting your details
Write to me to see what I hold, to correct it, or to have it deleted. I do it within 30 days and ask the services above to delete their copies where they allow it.
